Working in partnership with Charities and the Not-for-Profit Sector, including CIC’s
Robson Laidler has been working closely with charities and the not-for-profit sector in the North East since the firm was founded in the 1920’s. We currently act for around 50 charities from the smallest grant-making trust to more substantial organisations.
Our experience in acting for charities covers diverse sectors including the arts, housing, hospice and care, and grant making organisations. We also have experience with Community Interest Companies (CICs).
Experience in the sector Our charity clients are looked after by two principals who have a special interest in charities and not-for-profit organisations. David Wiseman has acted for charities for over 20 years and Michael Moran has acted as a charity trustee for over 10 years. We are also members of the UK200 Charity Group with whom we share best practice on charity reporting, training and other issues. |

Charity reporting and taxation issues are often far more complex than for a standard SME. It is therefore essential that trustees can rely on the advice of specialists in the charity sector.
