This month we ask 10 Questions to…Danielle Knowles, Paraplanner.
What is your role at Robson Laidler and how long have you done this for?
Paraplanner. I started my role at RL Wealth in February 2020, not long after this we went into lockdown, so it was a crazy time to start ta new job to say the least! But the team were great at pulling together and within no time at all we were working remotely and kept in constant contact with each other and our clients Via Teams and Zoom!
What brought you to the company?
I had been at my previous job for 12 years and I felt like it was time for a change. I already knew my colleague Emma Purvis and she mentioned a role was coming up at RL Wealth so it all fell into place nicely.
What are 3 words to describe yourself?
Thoughtful, fun and an overthinker!
What do you like most about your job?
I like the variety of the work involved in my role; from having meetings with clients to writing suitability letters. Seeing clients face to face again is so nice and I enjoy the background work involved in my role too.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy keeping fit so run and go to the gym regularly. I have two young children ( aged 4 and 6) so when we aren’t taking them to clubs or having play dates with friends we enjoy going for meals. I also enjoy family holidays and going for cocktails with friends. When I get the opportunity to get dressed up and go out my favourite tipple is prosecco or a pornstar martini!
What are you most excited about at RL Wealth?
I am excited to grow with the firm, which is going from strength to strength. We’ve recently taken on two new staff members so it’s great having more faces in the office and I’m excited to see us developing the team even more.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My Mum. She is no longer here but was such a strong, positive and fun person who I aspire to be like.
If you won the lottery what would be the first thing you would do?
Treat all of our family and friends to an amazing luxury holiday.
Tell us something about yourself that nobody knows!
I’m quite an open person so I don’t think I have any secrets!…
Best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Try to maintain a positive frame of mind and think of 3 things you are grateful for every day.
