Amy Park tells us the highlight of her carer at Robson Laidler so far…

“My career highlight has to be becoming the first female director the firm has ever had in its history. What makes it extra special is that I achieved this at the tender age of 30, which is again, a first, as I was the Firm’s youngest ever director appointment.

“I began my career at Robson Laidler fresh from university in 2006, where I started my ACA training programme. In 2009 I completed my final exam and qualified with the ICAEW, where I was promoted to manager.

“Whilst in the manager role I quickly built up a strong rapport with clients, always delivering service excellence, reaching deadlines and often making critical decisions on my own. As well as my client portfolio, I also showed commitment to the Firm’s business development with my growing commercial awareness and it’s this that led me to become director within 7 years.

“I now head up the healthcare department, where I am the firm’s nominated specialist for the Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants (AISMA) and with the support of the team oversee more than 300 businesses or individuals within the medical profession.

“For me becoming the first female director is a great achievement because it demonstrates that through hard work and leadership women can fulfil senior roles in business and make a difference. I’m also proud to be a successful role model to the other female staff here at Robson Laidler and to my two small daughters, Lilia and Holly, who I hope will become strong, independent little ladies in the future.

“It’s been a privilege to work with such a supportive team and great clients. Here’s to the next 100 years and more successful women in business!”
