Robson Laidler Accountants Director John Holbrook will join the Northern Law Awards judging panel this year for the first time. John will judge the Law Firm of the Year (6+ partners) category at the judging day on 22 May at St James Park, Newcastle.
Joining John on the judging panel will be other prominent figures from the North East’s legal and business community.
This year’s awards ceremony will take place on the evening of Thursday 27 June at St James’ Park and will be hosted by North East legend Alfie Joey. Attended by a wide range of lawyers, law firms and in-house teams, the Northern Law Awards celebrate the region’s extensive legal talent and industry successes.
Commenting on the awards, John said: “As an accountancy firm that specialises in the legal sector, it is an honour to join the judging panel of the NLA and see the hard work that has gone into making these larger firms a success and celebrating this with them all.”
John Holbrook and Joe Brown head up the legal accounting team at Robson Laidler who act for various regional law firms – preparing statutory accounts, management accounts, SRA Accounts Rules audits reporting, advice on structuring of firms, business and tax advice.
Both John and Joe regularly work on assignments with solicitors in areas such as business sales and acquisitions, property transactions, shareholder disputes, business and share valuations, shareholder agreements, forensic accounting, group and share restructuring.
