Today, we ask Charlotte Boyle from our Audit Department 10 Questions…
How long have you been with Robson Laidler?
I began working at Robson Laidler in July 2021
What is your current role at Robson Laidler?
I currently work as an audit junior within the audit and assurance department, my role consists of assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts and carrying out elements of yearly audits. My role allows me to visit client premises from time to time which suits me greatly as I enjoy building relationships with others and understanding the nature of our client’s organisations.
What is your favourite thing about working for Robson Laidler?
I love that the firm is continuously striving to improve and expand, and as a driven individual, this aligns well with my future goals. Robson Laidler has a very welcoming environment, and I have felt a part of the team from the very start of my career here.
What is your favourite film?
Controversially, I don’t have a stand-out favourite film. I enjoy almost all romantic comedies, and I’m partial to a mystery plot as I like to work out the result as quickly as possible. Generally, however, film and television does not interest me that much.
What is your favourite book?
All my favourite books are by the same author, Sophie Kinsella, most famous for the Confessions of a Shopaholic series – those who know me would be inclined to say I am a slight shopaholic myself. Every book I have read of hers has been light-hearted, witty and leaves me totally engrossed from start to finish. I find myself unable to do anything else once I am hooked on a new book.
Who is your favourite music artist/group?
My favourite music artist changes frequently, but my Apple Music history tells me my favourite artists are Two Door Cinema Club, The Wombats, and shockingly, any songs from High School Musical…
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When I am not at work, you will usually find me in sportswear playing netball with my local team, or out running. I have always been an extremely sporty person. Occasionally, I do enjoy going out for cocktails with my best friends and booking holidays as I love to explore.
If you could have a superpower, what would you choose?
I would be omniscient, so I never had to question anything again. I hate not knowing the answer to things and would love to be able to win a programme like the Chase, that would help massively.
What is something that nobody knows about you?
I am terrified of stepping onto escalators.
And finally… Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In 10 years, I would love to have worked my way up to a senior role at Robson Laidler, but most importantly I want to be truly happy with good people in my life and hopefully to have my own family.
